For more information, see my prostate health blog. To get started, here are the pros and cons for each product:
Progesterone (the "Male Steroid" or "Masturbation"): Progesterone is a hormone that is produced by the testes and distributed to the prostate gland in the scrotum. It helps increase the amount of testosterone in the prostate. Studies show that taking this medication daily may decrease the risk of prostate cancer. Progesterone can also be used to treat erectile dysfunction (erectile dysfunction) and impotence. Progesterone can be taken with or without progesterone.
Propecia (the "Male Enhancement" or "Sex-change"): Propecia is an oral drug that can be taken either as a pill or as an injection. It's a common prescription medication used to enhance male sexual performance. Propecia is a common treatment for both erectile and sexual dysfunction. Prostaglandins (the "Female Enhancement" or "Effeminate"): Prostaglandins (prostaglandins are natural "pro-hormones") are chemical compounds that are secreted by the prostate gland. They are thought to increase levels of testosterone and androgen, and also stimulate nerve signals that transmit nerve impulses throughout the body, including through the brain. It is commonly used in male enhancement products and as a prescription medication for a variety of other conditions. Prostaglandins are known to be "female" in their effects, as they promote sexual arousal.
